AUSTRALIA POST UNADDRESSED MAIL SERVICEWe specialise in helping businesses utilise the Australia Post Unaddressed Mail Service
WHAT IS THE AUSTRALIA POST UNADDRESSED MAIL SERVICE?
Australia Post’s Unaddressed mail service is a great service when utilised the right way.
This service allows you to send mail to addresses that does not include a delivery address. You can choose to send to either residential addresses, business addresses or both. You can also choose to send your unaddressed mail to letterboxes, PO Boxes, roadside and more.
The type of articles you can send include envelopes, brochures, postcards, plastic wrapped articles, folded articles and you can even send product samples.
The service does require some preparation and specific lodgement requirements. You have to book your lodgement in advance and have the unaddressed mail labelled and bundled in a specific way.
EXAMPLES OF UNADDRESSED MAIL
A small business that wants to contact residential and/or businesses within a certain geographical area such as a new hairdresser mailing out a brochure to their surrounding suburbs or postcode.
You could be a large multinational that may want to contact prospective customers within a certain area but don’t have their contact details. For instance you may be an insurance company that wants to contact people within a certain area that has a low crime rate, and offer them lower rates due to the lesser amount of claims in that area. In this example you could use an envelope and letter going over the reasons why they are getting this offer, or you may choose to send a postcard or brochure.
Or you may be a retailer trying to increase foot traffic and sales to a local store. You could send a brochure or postcard with a special offer, or discount when they redeem the mail piece you sent out. This way you can track the effectiveness of the campaign.

REGULAR SERVICE V’S select SERVICE
Australia Post has two different categorisations for their Unaddressed Mail Service.
Regular service is when a customer chooses to target street and roadside delivery points as a minimum for a postcode or suburb (locality) booking.
Select service is when a customer chooses to either:
- exclude street or roadside delivery points; or
- send articles to less than the number of delivery points available; or
- customise the booking outside of standard postcode or suburb (locality) selection.
If you just want to send to PO Boxes within a locality you would use the Select Service. And yes, the Select Service does cost a little bit more.
If you have any questions about which one you should use, don’t hesitate to give us a call on 02 4306 0583.
STANDARD SERVICE V’S PREMIUM SERVICE

Standard Service has the articles delivered within 15 business days of the booking
Premium Service is for when you need to get your articles delivered quicker. Articles are delivered within 7 business days of the booking. Premium Service is only available for same state deliveries.
Premium Service does incur additional costs.
